Welcome to the Warwick Green Party Society webpage.

We are a student community who feel passionately about Green politics; representing values of better social and economic equality, increased democracy and participation, and a champion for the greater sustainability of our environment.

We provide a social and political network for students unsatisfied with the politics of the main parties and the right-wing nature of our political climate. We believe it is our job to get students involved, with the aim to spread the word of the Green Party on campus and in the local area.

If you are looking for a new kind of politics and want to be a part of a society that works towards the common good, join us.

This academic year is going to be an extremely important one as the 2015 General Election is just around the corner and the Green surge in support is rising fast. There's not a more exciting time to get involved with the society than now!

Warwick Green running for Parliament!

Our very own Warwick Green Publicity Officer, Ben Gallaher, has been selected as the parliamentary candidate for the Green Party in Coventry South for this year's General Election. The Coventry South constituency includes both Warwick University and Coventry University campuses and Coventry City Centre. The seat is currently held by Labour MP Jim Cunningham, but with two university campuses, there is ample opportunity for a student representative to do well. If you want to get in touch with Ben or just want to follow his campaign, there are a few ways in which to do so:

Warwick and Leamington Candidate

In conjuction with Ben's candidacy, the Warwick and Leamington Green Party have also selected their candidate, Azzees Minott. The Warwick and Leamington constituency does not include campus but covers Leamington Spa which is the hub for most second and third-year students. The current incumbent is Conservative Chris White, who is facing a tough challenge from Labour's candidate Lynette Kelly.
